Lakeview Health Partners in Lakeview, Michigan, part of Sheridan Community Hospital, is opening a new Rural Health Clinic and seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join the team.

You will support providers with examinations, perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing, manage vital signs, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Formación

• Graduation from a Medical Assisting program or certification program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Familiarity with EMR and HIPAA regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsabilidades

• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and allergy injections as directed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and prior authorizations.
• Provide patient education and communicate provider instructions.
• Prepare patient charts and assist with daily clinical workflows.
• Monitor laboratory results, imaging, and referral tracking.
• Maintain clean, organized, stocked examination rooms; support HIPAA compliance.
