RCAs must be available to work on an as-needed basis. DRIVING REQUIRED: Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised driving experience in passenger cars or larger vehicles. Driving must have occurred in the U.S., its possessions or territories, or U.S. military installations worldwide. A personal vehicle suitable for use may be required for this position.
Postal Service employment is conditional upon meeting medical, eligibility, and background check requirements. Offers are contingent upon meeting these criteria, even if work has begun.
SALARY RANGE: $20.38 per hour, paid bi-weekly
Cases, delivers, and collects mail along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle; provides customers on the route with a variety of services.
Rural Carrier Associates are non-career employees providing delivery, collection, and sales services along rural routes. Candidates may need a suitable vehicle and should live within easy commuting distance of the facility. The job is physically demanding, performed outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions, with lifting requirements up to 70 pounds. Work is usually on Saturdays and as needed to cover absences.
