Job summary

ASM Global Charlottesville is seeking a Production Runner for John Paul Jones Arena. Under the Production/Events Manager, you will handle errands, transportation for staff, and general support for shows.

The role requires flexibility for long show days, strong reliability, a clean driving record, and the ability to work both with a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for personnel during show day using personal or company vehicle.
• Run errands such as meals, laundry, groceries, and package delivery.
• Coordinate take-out orders and distribute to touring personnel.
• Assist production staff with general duties and light admin tasks.
• Maintain cash/receipts for expense reimbursement.
• Provide local area information to touring staff.
• Handle company van pickups/drop-offs and related tasks.
• Adhere to confidentiality and team standards.

Job description

Position Summary:

ASM Global - Charlottesville, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Production Runner at John Paul Jones Arena. Under general direction of the Production/Events Manager, this individual is responsible for various errands associated with the production and operations of various shows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for various personnel throughout the show day, such as hotel and airport pickups and drop offs using either personal car or company-provided vehicle
• Run errands such as department meals, laundry, grocery shopping, package delivery, equipment rentals, coffee runs, etc.
• Coordinate large take-out orders with local restaurants, purchasing, retrieving, and distributing to touring personnel
• Coordinate large shopping lists from local grocery stores, deliver to the venue
• Assist production staff with general production-related duties
• Maintain cash and receipts for expense reimbursement and reconciliation
• Provide local area information to touring staff
• Pick up and drop off company-rented 15-passenger and cargo vans
• Light administrative duties such as making copies, posting signs and cash reconciliation
• Confidentiality is very critical to the role
• Various special projects and tasks assigned

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record

• Ability to work a long day (typical show day runs about 16 to 18 hours)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Other Qualifications

Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member. Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
