Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Lester, AL is seeking a warehouse associate to operate pallet jack equipment for moving pallets to shipping doors and within the facility. The role involves loading, routing, and inspecting pallets according to work orders and safety standards.

The position requires lifting up to 40 lbs, working in cold or hot storage areas, and a flexible schedule including weekends. Compensation starts at $18 per hour with comprehensive benefits and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Use pallet jack equipment to move pallets to scheduled doors for shipping.
• Move pallets within warehouse and locate items per work orders.
• Identify damages and report to lead/supervisor.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped before hauling into dock or warehouse.
• Operate wrap machine or pallet inverter as required.

Job description

Pay Rate $18/hr

Sunday-Friday 10am-8pm

Operate pallet jack equipment to move pallets and product from one place to another while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use pallet jack equipment to move the pallet to the scheduled door to ship
• Move pallets from the inbound dock door to locations inside the warehouse to be put away
• Find products requested in work orders
• Change over pallets for picking, visually review items for damages or flaws; document and report damages to lead/supervisor
• Confirm all pallets being hauled into the warehouse or dock doors are wrapped to the top

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wrap pallets using a wrap machine, based on location
• Invert pallets using a pallet inverter, based on location
• May work with other machinery and material handling equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Basic math skills may be required depending on facility
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
