Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Eng, Computer Eng, CS, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer focusing on rugged networking equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet, VLAN, Spanning Tree, QoS, SNMP, TCP/IP.
• Experience in embedded software development using C/C++ and RTOS.
• Knowledge of network security principles and secure protocols.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD, IP ratings, shock/vibration.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop rugged electronics for harsh environments.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and product managers to define specs for rugged electronics.
• Assess hardware/software architecture for power, performance, cost.
• Develop embedded software including drivers, protocols, management interfaces.
• Test and verify software modules; resolve issues and bottlenecks.
• Support transition to mass production with manufacturing teams.
• Stay current with networking tech and industry standards.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Create technical specs, user guides, and application notes.
