Job summary

Aitech Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Component Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to support component selection, data integrity, and cross‑functional design for defense, aerospace, and space programs.

The role sits at the intersection of component engineering, CM/DM (PLM), and EE/ME systems, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure reliability, manufacturability, and on‑time delivery across long lifecycle programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years in electronic components or hardware design support.
• Strong understanding of components and circuit fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, schematics, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with lab tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ITAR awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and approve components for new and sustaining designs.
• Review specs/datasheets for performance and reliability in harsh environments.
• Perform component qualification and validation testing as required.
• Manage component lifecycle and obsolescence risk with mitigations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and maintain availability.
• Maintain and update BOM data within PLM systems (Arena).
• Support ECN/ECO processes and product structure updates.
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
