Job summary

ALPAC, Inc. is seeking a Ruby on Rails web developer to build advanced web applications in a Linux (LAMP) environment.

You will handle ground-up development as well as maintenance, analyze and debug code, document bugs, and help set coding standards. Independent work with strong communication is required, and some experience with a version control system is helpful.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in web development is desirable.
• Experience with Rails-based applications and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with a source-management system is helpful.

Job description

Seeking Ruby on Rails web developer to develop advanced web application in Linux (LAMP) environment. Duties include ground-up development of new applications as well as continued development and/or maintenance of existing applications and services.

Analyze and debug code to find quick solutions and/or improvements. Document and track bugs and changes. Create, implement and improve company standards for coding and development. Some experience with source-management system is good to have.

Must be a good listener, translator, and clear communicator with excellent communication skills. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
