Job summary

Continental is seeking a Product Development - Rubber Material Process Engineer to join our Mount Pleasant, Iowa team. You will develop and optimize rubber material processes for new and existing hose products, supporting the industrialization of new rubber mix centers and ensuring high-quality manufacturing results.

You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate rubber material requirements into product designs, perform experiments, and maintain comprehensive process documentation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
• Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills
• Experience with product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with rubber material processing standards

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of the new rubber mix center in Mount Pleasant
• Lead industrialization and optimization of rubber material processes for hoses
• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate rubber material requirements into designs
• Conduct experiments to evaluate and industrialize rubber materials properties
• Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs and reports
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement solutions
• Stay updated with advancements in rubber material technology
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Provide technical support to production teams and stakeholders
