Job summary

Sonac (by Darling Ingredients) in Anaheim, CA seeks a Material Prep Lead for the Rubber department. You will work directly with the manufacturing manager and supervisor to schedule, assign, and supervise Rubber Molding and Specialized Seals operations.

Responsibilities include inventory management, material intake, cycle counts, training, and cross-training. You will ensure safety, housekeeping, and process improvements while reporting to the production leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions.
• Experience coordinating work schedules and supervising manufacturing staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up work for Material prep department employees according to schedule.
• Oversee Rubber prep dept for Rubber Molding and Specialized Seals.
• Follow aerospace standards BSS7107 & BAC5071.
• Complete TLARGI Basic rubber technology class and certificate.
• Receive materials from stockroom and update inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and track expired materials.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts.
• Train new employees or assist training.
• Review and redline work orders when needed.
• Communicate with production manager or supervisor.
• Set up and operate mixing, calendaring and prepping machinery.
• Cross-train employees.
• Monitor process conditions for better yield.
• Prioritize multiple assignments and assist across facility.
• Input daily production data into Industrios.
• Suggest process improvements when opportunities exist.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety practices.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Setting up work for the Material prep department employees pertaining to schedule.
• Overseeing employees in the rubber prep department for both Rubber Molding and Specialized Seals
• Follow BSS7107 & BAC5071 Aerospace standards for better practices.
• TLARGI Basic rubber technology class. Take and complete with certificate of completion.
• Receive all materials from stockroom and put them into inventory.
• Keep track of inventory.
• Keep track of expired materials.
• Monthly cycle counts.
• Train and or assist in training new employees.
• Look at redlining work orders when needed.
• Communicate directly to the production manager and or supervisor.
