Job summary

SON-AERO (Sonfarrel Aerospace) is seeking personnel to support Insert Prep and Bonding activities in Anaheim. Responsibilities include prepping metals and plastics, masking, degreasing, handling substrates, storing solvents, and monitoring processes on the shop floor.

Candidates must read and follow detailed instructions, operate hand tools and measuring devices, input daily data into Industrios, and adhere to ISO and aerospace standards where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Ability to read, write and understand English instructions.
• Familiarity with ISO and aerospace standards preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepping metals, plastic, and other materials to be bonded.
• Masking of materials to prevent damage from sandblasting and abrading for prepping purposes
• Degreasing and solvent cleaning of materials to be bonded
• Proper handling of cleaned or prepped substrates
• Proper storage of solvents
• Check and monitor process conditions to obtain better yield
• Able to use mechanical measuring tools (Micrometers, Calipers and or depth gauges)
• Able to prioritize multiple assignments
• Assist as required throughout the facility when needed
• Complete assignments in a timely manner
• Input daily production data into Industrios
• Have Knowledge of ISO and Aerospace standards - preferred but not required
• Train and or assist in training new employees
• Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficient exist on opportunity for improvements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
