Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical/Materials Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Hands-on production troubleshooting and operator collaboration.
• Strong communication within all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Relocation not provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering capital investment projects related to material processing equipment.
• Improve rubber processing department by reducing scrap, increasing labor efficiency and machine reliability, and troubleshooting issues.
• Create, modify, and optimize material processing specifications and recipes in SAP and MAZDA.
• Conduct new material trials including tracking, feedback, problem solving and recommendations.
• Implement and improve production visibility and tracking through Power BI.
• Estimate and analyze production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
• Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot based on fundamental engineering principles. Availability for on-floor training and trials up to 20% outside normal hours.
