Job summary

Techtronic Industries, NA (TTI) is seeking an RTV Returns Inspector to inspect and analyze returned components, determine credit eligibility, and verify return windows according to policy. This on-site role supports The Home Depot partnership in our fast-paced distribution environment.

You will read product dates, assess usage, ensure major parts are present, document results, and communicate decisions to Home Depot staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a 2-year degree is preferred.
• 1–2 years of related inspection/quality control experience.
• Knowledge of power tools or outdoor power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and analyze returned components to determine credit eligibility.
• Verify purchase date and return windows per policy.
• Check for proper condition and inclusion of major parts.
• Record the status of each inspected product.
• Communicate product status to Home Depot associates.
• Support continual improvement in knowledge, skills, processes and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and analyze components of the returned product to determine whether credit should be issued.
• Verify the purchase date if available, determine whether the product was returned within the Customer Satisfaction period (30 Days for Outdoor Power & 90 Days for Power tools).
• If no purchase date, determine whether the product was returned within the TTI grace period (24 months from product date code).
• Inspect the product for customer abuse or misuse.
• Ensure all major parts are included in the return (Major parts list by category will be supplied).
• Record the status (credit/no credit) of each product inspected.
• Maintain constant communication with The Home Depot associates working in the facility.
• Clearly communicate the product status and reason for your decision to The Home Depot associates for all products inspected.
• Strive to meet the company's goals of continual improvement in the areas of knowledge, skills, processes and quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Non-Exempt Position (Overtime Eligible)
• Starting Salary - $20.50/hour equating to a Target Annual Salary of $42,640

• Eligible for up to 10 paid Holiday (Based on hire date)
• Accrue up to 104 hours of PTO - 1st Year - Based on hire date #LI-DNI

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A. EQUIVALENT EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED 2 year degree or HS diploma with equivalent experience.
• B. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Up to 1 to 2 years experience.
• C. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Must have working knowledge with power tools and/or outdoor power equipment including their designs and uses. Must be knowledgeable of inspection and analysis techniques
• D. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Analytical; detail oriented; strong communication skills; demonstrate strong work ethic and PC literate. Capable of lifting and transporting heavy tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and requesting assistance as needed. Capable of reaching and/or lifting overhead. Valid driver's license required. Relocation may be required for future promotional opportunities.
