Job summary

Synopsys is seeking an early-career RTL power engineer in Mountain View, CA. You will execute Prime Power RTL 2.0 flows for customer evaluations and internal projects, support flow setup and licensing questions, and reproduce issues with clear context for escalation.

You will also run RTL power lint, draft test cases, FAQs, and knowledge base updates, collaborating with sales and support teams while expanding expertise in low-power design tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 2 years in semiconductor EDA or related field, or Master's with relevant coursework.
• Working understanding of RTL power concepts including switching power, leakage, and clock gating.
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments and Tcl scripting for automation.
• Ability to reproduce results and document findings clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication; explain issues and solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Execute Prime Power RTL 2.0 flows for customer evaluations and internal projects.
• Support customers with flow setup, installation troubleshooting, and licensing questions.
• Run RTL power lint checks, summarize findings, and contribute documentation.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and elevate complex cases with context and data.
• Prepare evaluation collateral and technical summaries using established templates.
• Collaborate with sales, field support, and senior applications engineers on accounts.
• Build working knowledge of Synopsys low-power design tools and power estimation methods.
