Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Police Department (UWPD) is seeking a dynamic Project Program Manager to lead the planning, development, and implementation of a Real-Time Information Center (RTIC). This two-year fixed-term role offers a chance to shape technology-enabled policing and information-sharing across the campus community.

Reporting to the Captain of Planning and Development, you will establish RTIC's vision, governance, and technology roadmap, coordinating with patrol, investigations, IT,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience managing complex projects.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and building collaborative partnerships.
• Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, operational plans, or organizational processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, priorities, budgets, and deliverables while meeting established milestones.
• Experience preparing reports, presentations, and communications for leadership, executive stakeholders, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities and collaborate with project staff to meet program targets and milestones.
• Manage the change control process and act as the mid-level decision making authority.
• Lead and coordinate sharing of resources among component projects for overall program benefit.
• Estimate program costs, resources, and time required; monitor budgets and progress.
• Create a program plan and structure, monitor progress, and address risks and issues.
• Lead activities of outside contractors and vendors to ensure integration and satisfactory service.
• Prepare regular reports for leadership and stakeholders; develop dashboards and reporting tools.
