Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking an RTE Production Manager in Seward, NE. You will oversee the production area, manage supervisors, and drive improvements to meet KPIs. Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and HR to resolve challenges and optimize performance.

You will lead a team on the floor, report production metrics to management, and champion continuous improvement with a focus on cost efficiency and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in lean manufacturing.
• Prior experience in pet food or food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire production process within assigned area(s) of the manufacturing facility to operate within budget and meet KPIs.
• Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Manage team of Production Supervisors and provide support on the daily activities of production and hourly employees.
• Monitor and review the daily line performance to ensure operations meet performance standards and make improvements or adjustments as needed.
• Partner with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Accounting and HR to maintain efficient operations and overcome challenges.
• Create and share regular reports with management on production metrics, issues or challenges in the department(s).
• Provide and encourage an open working environment on the production floor; lead conflict management as needed.
• Effectively manage the workforce and assist Production Supervisors through the disciplinary process with HR.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and identify cost saving opportunities and see those through to implementation.

We’re Looking For A(n): RTE Production Manager

Location: Seward, NE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee and manage the entire production process within assigned area(s) of the manufacturing facility to operate within budget and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Manage team of Production Supervisors and provide support on the daily activities of production and hourly employees
• Monitor and review the daily line performance to ensure operations meet performance standards and make improvements or adjustments as needed
• Partner closely with other departments including Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Accounting and HR to maintain efficient operations and overcome challenges in the production area(s) as they arise
• Create and share regular reports with management to provide status updates on production metrics, issues or challenges facing the department(s)
• Provide and encourage an open working environment on the production floor with all employees; lead effective conflict management efforts as needed when challenges or disagreements between employees arise
• Effectively manage the workforce and assist Production Supervisors through the disciplinary process while partnering with Human Resources
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and identify cost saving opportunities and see those through to implementation
