Golden Pet Manufacturing in Seward, NE is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the production process, guide a team of Supervisors, and drive KPI performance across the line.

You will collaborate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safe operations on the floor. The role demands proven manufacturing leadership, lean knowledge, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in lean manufacturing.
• Prior experience in pet food or food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire production process within assigned area(s) of the manufacturing facility to operate within budget and meet KPIs.
• Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Manage team of Production Supervisors and provide support on the daily activities of production and hourly employees.
• Monitor and review the daily line performance to ensure operations meet performance standards and make improvements or adjustments as needed.
• Partner with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Accounting and HR to maintain efficient operations and overcome challenges.
• Create and share regular reports with management on production metrics, issues, and challenges.
• Provide and encourage an open working environment on the production floor and lead conflict management as needed.
• Manage workforce and assist Production Supervisors through disciplinary processes with HR.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement them.

We're Looking For A(n): RTE Production Manager

Location: Seward, NE

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee and manage the entire production process within assigned area(s) of the manufacturing facility to operate within budget and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Manage team of Production Supervisors and provide support on the daily activities of production and hourly employees
• Monitor and review the daily line performance to ensure operations meet performance standards and make improvements or adjustments as needed
• Partner closely with other departments including Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Accounting and HR to maintain efficient operations and overcome challenges in the production area(s) as they arise
• Create and share regular reports with management to provide status updates on production metrics, issues or challenges facing the department(s)
• Provide and encourage an open working environment on the production floor with all employees; lead effective conflict management efforts as needed when challenges or disagreements between employees arise
• Effectively manage the workforce and assist Production Supervisors through the disciplinary process while partnering with Human Resources
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and identify cost saving opportunities and see those through to implementation

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of leadership within a manufacturing environment
• Strong background in lean manufacturing
• Prior experience in pet food or food manufacturing
