Job summary

Price Chopper is seeking a packaging associate to support the ready-to-eat product line. You will pack items, operate basic packaging tools, verify weights and labels, and assemble components for shipment in a fast-paced commissary environment.

You must follow sanitation and safety protocols, document activities, and communicate any issues promptly to supervision. No prior experience is required; a positive team attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required; commissary or food production experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete basic documentation.
• Willingness to work in cold, wet, or variable temperature environments.
• Dependable attendance and positive team attitude required.

Responsibilities

• Pack RTE items according to batch specifications, packaging requirements, and customer expectations.
• Operate basic packaging equipment in accordance with safety and food handling protocols.
• Verify product weights, labeling, and packaging integrity.
• Assemble packaging components and ensure availability at workstations.
• Assist with final boxing, palletizing, and staging of finished goods for shipment.
• Maintain clean and organized packaging stations and follow sanitation procedures.
• Complete packaging logs and lot tracking forms as required.
• Communicate discrepancies, equipment issues, or delays to supervisors promptly.
• Support prep and ingredient staging as needed.
• Follow GMPs, PPE requirements, and food safety protocols at all times.
• Report any food safety or quality concerns to Supervisors or FSQA immediately.
