Qualifications

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified
• Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality patient care within the department's policy/procedure; perform equipment maintenance, changes, inventory and operate respiratory care devices used in diagnosis and treatment.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of the department's policy/procedure manual. Performs support activities such as equipment maintenance, changes, inventory, and sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

Required Skills

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified
• Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One (1) year critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Posted Total Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $40.00/hr to $52.81/hr
