Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an experienced NDT Level II RT Technician to support long-term industrial inspection projects in Monroe, NC. This role focuses on radiographic testing (RT/CR) with strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and clear reporting.

Candidates must hold ASNT Level II RT certification and radiographer credentials; DR/CR experience is a plus. You will set up equipment, interpret images, prepare inspection reports, mentor trainees, and coordinate with clients and project managers.

Qualifications

• ASNT Level II RT certification required.
• State or industrial radiographer card where applicable.
• Radiation safety training (40-hour preferred).
• Experience with digital radiography (DR/CR) is a plus.
• Additional certifications such as MT, PT, UT, VT or PMI preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II RT inspections according to procedures and codes.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate radiographic equipment safely.
• Interpret radiographs and evaluate results.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety requirements.
• Perform equipment checks, maintenance, and calibration.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and technicians.
• Assist with other NDT methods when qualified.
• Mentor trainees and Level I technicians as needed.
