Job summary

Acuren is seeking an RT Assistant for Port Sulphur, LA to support nondestructive testing activities on-site. You will help set up NDT equipment, assist radiographers, and document results in accordance with instructions and safety requirements.

The role requires basic education, a valid TWIC card, and willingness to undergo background checks while contributing to reliable inspections across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Required basic education: High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Background check required to verify credentials and safety history.
• Technical background is desirable for NDT-related tasks.

Position Summary

RT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

This position is currently open to US based employees.

Requirements

• Valid TWIC Card
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
