RS Avionics/Electrical Technician in GAC St. Louis

Unique Skills:

Aircraft avionics experience preferred.

All shifts available.

The compensation range for this role is $24.10 - $28.31 per hour.

Final compensation will be determined by various factors including qualifications, skills, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years related work experience or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Position Purpose:

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to minimize schedule impact. Implement process improvements to reduce costs and meet schedules without compromising safety or quality.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate basic technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
2. Perform installation and testing of electrical/avionics components according to specifications under supervision.
3. Ensure quality and efficiency of installations and troubleshoot to provide timely repairs.
4. Develop skills to repair or replace defective components, including wiring and soldering.
5. Follow engineering changes and modifications as required.
6. Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional tests.
7. Document all work thoroughly for inspection.
8. Test and maintain test equipment and electronic systems.
9. Follow safety and tool control programs.
10. Support aircraft certification and final testing, including flight tests if required.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
