RS Avionics/Electrical Technician I in GAC St. Louis

All shifts available.

The compensation range for this role is $24.10 - $28.31 per hour.

Final compensation will be determined by factors including qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, 2 years related work experience or equivalent training in aviation electronics, ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Position Purpose: Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies, implementing process improvements to reduce costs, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform basic avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
  2. Under supervision, install and test electrical/avionics components according to specifications, ensuring defect-free systems.
  3. Ensure quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs.
  4. Develop skills to repair or replace defective components, using proper techniques like splicing and soldering.
  5. Implement engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Set up and operate test equipment, conduct functional tests to evaluate performance.
  7. Document all work accurately for inspections.
  8. Test and maintain test equipment and electronic systems.
  9. Follow safety and tool control protocols.

Additional Functions: Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight tests if required. Perform other duties as assigned.
