Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments, respiratory care procedures, and critical care procedures in adult care areas. The role includes blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and patient education.

Minimum education is an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences with NBRC registration and Georgia state license. BCLS/ACLS certifications are required; actively practicing with current competencies is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Previous working experience in respiratory care or orientation with competencies.
• Current licenses/certifications: Registered by NBRC and Georgia state license.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures in adult care areas.
• Conduct critical care procedures as required and monitor patient status.
• Perform and interpret blood gas analyses; maintain quality control of specimens.
• Maintain equipment and provide patient education on therapy and devices.

Responsibilities:

SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $10,000 AVAILABLE

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures and protocols, critical care procedures in adult care areas, blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of all equipment and patient education.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
