Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient assessments, respiratory care, and education across adult care areas. You will handle blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and protocol-driven procedures.

Minimum education is an associate degree in respiratory therapy, with RRT licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS active. Prior experience in respiratory care or orientation with competency validation is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:Performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures and protocols, critical care procedures in adult care areas, blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of all equipment and patient education.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.BLS, ACLS (ALS can be used in place of ACLS) and PALS required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
