Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed respiratory therapist by applicable state where services will be performed.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE credentials.
• POC Technician certification through WV DHHR.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced respiratory therapies per physician orders.
• Assembles, checks, and troubleshoots Respiratory Care equipment.
• Initiates and manages mechanical ventilation for patients of all ages.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team about patient care.
• Educates patients and families as part of the care team.
• Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement.
• Performs diagnostic procedures for pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Maintains competency and departmental standards.
