Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist in Michigan to provide comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator support, aerosolized meds and diagnostic testing, while ensuring patient safety and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities include bedside assessments, collaboration with physicians, adherence to infection control, and ongoing education of students and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the State of Michigan as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• If Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), then obtain RRT within 6 months of employment.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of Respiratory Care including diagnostics.
• Current Certification in Basic Life Support; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including ventilator care, aerosolized medications, mucous mobilization and resuscitation.
• Perform bedside assessments and assist physicians with respiratory care questions.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures related to respiratory care including EKG and pulmonary function determinations.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and ensure infection control and safety regulations are followed.

Education

Licensure by the State of Michigan as a Respiratory Therapist

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care

Current Certification in Basic Life Support

Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
