Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy as ordered by physicians. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff.

The role includes a sign-on bonus and opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS certification required for ER coworkers.
• ACLS preferred for advanced care.
• Preferred critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
