Job summary

North End Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Boston is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide skilled assessments, treatments, and education for residents with complex pulmonary needs. This role, supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, offers a patient-centered environment and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Shifts include 7 AM- 7 PM and 7 PM- 7 AM, with pay at $40-$48 an hour (all-inclusive) and a $5 PIB for full-time.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in SNF/LTACH or hospital.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for a diverse resident population.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop, evaluate, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing, including lung capacity measurements and evaluation of blood gas levels.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent residents, including initiation of ventilator support when necessary.
• Conduct regular monitoring of residents’ respiratory status and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident progress in accordance with clinical standards.
