Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Macon, GA. You will perform patient assessments, respiratory care procedures, and critical care tasks for adults, including blood gas analysis and equipment maintenance.

Active RRT certification and Georgia state licensure are required, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS current. Eligible candidates will participate in ongoing education and quality patient care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) and Georgia state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; ACLS acceptable in place of ALS.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures and protocols, critical care procedures in adult care areas, blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of all equipment and patient education.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
BLS, ACLS (ALS can be used in place of ACLS) and PALS required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies.
