Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care and consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. You will serve as an advanced resource for the care team and perform duties as assigned.

Requirements include a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program completion, current RCP license, and NBRC‑RRT credential. ACLS is preferred; PALS may be required for ER staff. No prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• For co-workers in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.
• ACLS is preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
