Job summary

Elsevier is seeking Registered Respiratory Therapists to serve as subject matter experts for an AI-powered learning platform supporting credentialing and clinical practice preparation.

You will evaluate AI-generated content on cardiopulmonary topics, provide expert feedback, and apply scoring metrics to ensure accuracy and safety. This is a 1-year contract via a third-party agency, at $55/hr with 5–15 hours/week and renewal potential.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.
• Active state respiratory care license in good standing.
• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program (minimum associate degree).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated content related to cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, airway management, oxygen and aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gas interpretation, pulmonary function testing, and respiratory pharmacology.
• Review content on neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care respiratory management and common cardiopulmonary disease states.
• Apply structured evaluation metrics to score accuracy, completeness, and clinical applicability.
• Provide expert feedback to improve clarity, safety, and educational value for respiratory therapy learners.
• Complete asynchronous evaluations within defined timelines (5 days to 2 weeks).
• Participate in periodic evaluation cycles with potential for ad-hoc assignments.
