Job summary

Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. The therapist will implement, evaluate, and document respiratory care and educate patients and families.

The therapist will assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment, perform 12-lead EKGs, and handle other duties as directed by management during the night shift. This is a full-time position (0.9 FTE).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory therapy program.
• Eligible for NBRC registry or possess RRT/CRT certification.
• Current North Carolina respiratory care license and CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced respiratory care across age groups.
• Implement, evaluate and document respiratory care effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and therapies.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining respiratory equipment.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and other duties as directed by management.

Job Location: Onslow Memorial Hospital - Jacksonville, NC 28546, Position Type: Full Time 0.9, Job Shift: Night, Responsible for providing basic and advanced respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The therapist implements, evaluates and documents the effectiveness of respiratory care. The therapist is responsible for providing effective education to patients and/or family members. The therapist is responsible for assisting with cleaning and maintaining respiratory equipment, performing 12-lead EKGs, and other job-related tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications: Education/Certification

• Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy.
• Must be eligible for registry by national board of respiratory therapy or certification
• Must have current North Carolina license to practice respiratory care.
• Current registered (RRT) or certified respiratory therapist (CRT).
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification

Experience

• 1-2 years preferred.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.
