Job summary

BIM SUPPORTIVE LIVING LLC is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to provide direct care, behavioral support, and daily living assistance within a supportive living setting in Oakland, CA. You will work under the supervision of a behaviorist and Health Director, following person-centered plans and documenting changes for quality of life improvements.

Ideal candidates will hold a CA RPT license, CPR/First Aid certification, and have experience with IDD or mental health care.

Qualifications

Active California RPT license in good standing.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience with IDD or mental illness preferred.
Strong observational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and behavioral support to clients in accordance with individualized treatment and behavior support plans.
Monitor and document client behavior, mood, and physical condition, and report significant changes.
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and community participation.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured living environment.
Implement behavioral intervention strategies as directed by the supervising behaviorist.
Accurately complete required documentation, including T-Logs, incident reports, and medication-related records.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, and required training.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies, including HIPAA and client rights regulations.
