Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography and patient education, aligned with AASM standards.

You will prepare patients, calibrate equipment, score sleep stages, document findings, and collaborate with the care team on safety and quality. This full-time night shift position offers competitive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred with an emphasis in polysomnography.
• Certification as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required.
• Two years of experience in a sleep center preferred.
• Hands-on proficiency with sleep testing and patient safety procedures.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares & calibrates testing equipment and patient for testing.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events per accepted guidelines.
• Documents pre/post testing data and generates reports.
• Ensures patient safety and collaborates with care team.
• Participates in performance data collection and quality initiatives.
