Job summary

Magrym Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced RPLS professional to oversee land surveying projects from initiation to delivery. You will coordinate field crews, CAD staff, and clients to ensure on-time, accurate results while maintaining compliance with licenses and regulations.

The role requires 6+ years in land surveying or related fields, strong communication, and proficiency with Civil 3D/AutoCAD. A valid Texas RPLS license is required.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction project management.
  • Licensed Texas RPLS is required or must be active.
  • Familiarity with boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, and construction staking surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, scheduling, field coordination, and final deliverable review.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates.
  • Coordinate with survey crews and CAD/drafting staff to keep field and office work aligned.
  • Review survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy prior to client delivery.
  • Track project budgets, invoicing milestones, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, local platting/subdivision regulations, and utility coordination requirements (e.g., 811/call-before-you-dig).
  • Manage project documentation, permits, and easement research.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts and resource needs across active projects.
  • Support proposal/bid preparation for new projects.

Job description

The RPLS oversees land surveying projects from initiation through completion, coordinating field crews, survey technicians, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, scheduling, field coordination, and final deliverable review
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates
  • Coordinate with survey crews and CAD/drafting staff to keep field and office work aligned
  • Review survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy prior to client delivery
  • Track project budgets, invoicing milestones, and change orders
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, local platting/subdivision regulations, and utility coordination requirements (e.g., 811/call-before-you-dig)
  • Manage project documentation, permits, and easement research
  • Identify scheduling conflicts and resource needs across active projects

  • Must have a valid Texas RPLS License.
  • 6+ years of experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction project management

  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or similar survey/CAD software preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Understanding of platting, subdivision, and municipal permitting processes a plus
