Job summary

Magrym Consulting, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager/RPLS to lead land surveying projects in Texas. You will coordinate field crews, oversee the full project lifecycle, and deliver accurate, compliant results for clients.

The role requires a Texas RPLS license, 6+ years of related experience, and strong organization and communication skills. You will manage budgets, reviews, and coordination with CAD staff, with a focus on quality and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas RPLS license is required.
  • 6+ years of experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction project management.
  • Familiarity with boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, and construction staking surveys.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee land surveying projects from initiation through completion.
  • Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, scheduling, field coordination, and deliverables.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and provide regular status updates.
  • Coordinate with survey crews and CAD/drafting staff to align field and office work.
  • Review survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy before client delivery.
  • Track project budgets, invoicing milestones, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, platting regulations, and utility coordination.
  • Manage project documentation, permits, and easement research.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts and resource needs across active projects.
  • Support proposal/bid preparation for new projects.

Job description

The Project Manager/RPLS oversees land surveying projects from initiation through completion, coordinating field crews, survey technicians, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, scheduling, field coordination, and final deliverable review

Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates

Coordinate with survey crews and CAD/drafting staff to keep field and office work aligned

Review survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy prior to client delivery

Track project budgets, invoicing milestones, and change orders

Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, local platting/subdivision regulations, and utility coordination requirements (e.g., 811/call-before-you-dig)

Manage project documentation, permits, and easement research

Identify scheduling conflicts and resource needs across active projects

Support proposal/bid preparation for new projects/

Must have an active Texas RPLS license

6+ years of experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction project management

Familiarity with boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, and construction staking surveys

Working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or similar survey/CAD software preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

Understanding of platting, subdivision, and municipal permitting processes a plus
