Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Corporation in Franklin, Tennessee invites an experienced Jobscope Developer (RPG Developer) to join its ERP team onsite. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the Jobscope ERP system on IBM i (AS/400), translating business needs into reliable software.

You will write RPG, RPGLE, CL, and SQL for manufacturing and distribution processes, troubleshoot issues, support system integrations, and collaborate with users, IT, and vendors to drive ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Five plus (5+) years of experience in RPG programming on IBM i (AS/400).
Prior experience with Manufacturing ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of RPGLE, CL, DDS, PDM, SDA.
Experience with SQL on IBM i.
Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize legacy code.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and maintain applications within the Jobscope ERP system.
Write, test, and debug programs using RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / Free-format RPG).
Support IBM i (AS/400) environment, including system integrations and enhancements.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform system testing, deployment, and documentation of changes.
Troubleshoot and resolve production and system issues.
Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors for ongoing improvements.
Provide user support and technical guidance.
