Job summary

Rehrig Pacific Company (Petersburg, VA) seeks a Hand Sorter to support warehouse operations. This hands-on role contributes to quality and production goals, handling returnable plastic containers and related materials.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong team player, and able to lift up to 70 lbs. Forklift training provided; HS diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and team player with ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Experience in warehouse/production setting preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Hand-sort RPCs (returnable plastic containers) based on manufacturer and quality standards.
• Reclaim customer-owned products and materials with care and precision.
• Meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols to support PTZ goals.
• Support team with duties as assigned by site leadership.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace; forklift certification may be provided.

What You’ll Do:

• Hand-sort RPCs (returnable plastic containers) accurately based on manufacturer and quality standards.
• Reclaim customer-owned products and materials with care and precision.
• Meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols to help us achieve our Plan To Zero (PTZ) goals.
• Support your team with other duties as assigned by site leadership.

What You Bring:

• Familiarity with pallet jacks; forklift experience is a plus (training provided).
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Experience in a warehouse or production-based environment preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
