Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Project Manager (REMOTE)

Location: Newark, NJ (Remote)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Project Manager to oversee application robotics projects. The ideal candidate is motivated by variety, seeks professional growth, and has experience managing large IT projects across various business areas for an Investor-Owned Utility headquartered in New Jersey.

This role involves planning, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing large-scale projects, ensuring efficiency in planning, budgeting, and risk assessment. The candidate should have excellent project management skills, with experience in organizing and executing projects involving internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead end-to-end automation projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery within timelines and budgets.
2. Manage technical aspects, costs, and schedules of assigned tasks.
3. Provide proactive leadership to multidisciplinary teams responding to business needs.
4. Guide project team members, including executives and subject matter experts, through project lifecycle.
5. Support automation staff through training, mentoring, and creating procedural documentation.
6. Conduct requirement analysis, system testing support, and automation monitoring.
7. Create project management plans, set expectations, and ensure adherence to organizational procedures.
8. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
9. Ensure requirements are documented, reviewed, and approved per standards.
10. Work with schedulers to develop work breakdown structures.
11. Manage project budgets, track financials, and provide forecasts.
12. Maintain high-quality communication through status reports and dashboards.
13. Monitor project tasks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of project management experience, with prior automation project experience.
• Strong skills in project financials, scheduling, scope, testing, and communication.
• Understanding of Project Management and PMO standards.
• Ability to build relationships and work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent customer service, research, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, or similar tools.
• Experience with utility industry and tools like Smartsheet and PMP certification are a plus.

Note: This position follows a 5x40 schedule and is remote.
