Job summary

Coherent Solutions, Inc. seeks an automation engineer to join a newly formed team strengthening the company's automation-first operating model across finance, operations, IT, and other enterprise functions.

You will design, develop, and deploy scalable automation using UiPath, Power Automate, and other platforms, build integrations with APIs and MuleSoft, and ensure data consistency with SQL/NoSQL databases while maintaining enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in automation engineering or system integration.
• Hands-on experience with UiPath or other RPA platforms plus JavaScript or .NET.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including Azure SQL.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs for system integration.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with minimal requirements, defining automation approaches, system integrations, and technical solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation solutions supporting business processes across finance, operations, IT, and other enterprise functions;
• Work independently with minimal functional requirements, defining automation approaches, system integrations, and technical solutions for both custom-built and commercial enterprise systems;
• Evaluate automation platforms and select the most appropriate tools for each use case;
• Design and develop intelligent process automations and workflows using low-code/no-code platforms such as Alteryx, Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Automate, and Workiva;
• Build and maintain system integrations using APIs and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft;
• Design and work with relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, to support automation logic, data persistence, and reporting;
• Apply system architecture principles to ensure automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards;
• Apply master data management principles to maintain data consistency and integrity across automated processes;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve business efficiency;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed automations to ensure reliability and performance;
• Document automation designs, data flows, and integration patterns to support long-term maintainability;

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in automation engineering, system integration, or a related technical role;
• Hands-on experience with UiPath or, alternatively, strong experience with another RPA platform (Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate) combined with JavaScript or .NET programming experience;
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including experience with Azure SQL or another relational database platform;
• Experience designing and consuming APIs for system integration;
• Practical scripting experience;
• Strong system architecture skills and experience designing end-to-end automation solutions;
• Understanding of master data management principles and enterprise data consistency;
• Understanding of product management principles, including prioritization and requirements documentation;
• Experience supporting multiple business functions within enterprise environments;
• Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment;
• Readiness to maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with EST;
• RPA platform certification obtained within the past three years, preferably UiPath, is a plus;
