Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Royalty Accountant II to manage the full royalty cycle, including calculation, reporting, and payment for assigned publishers. You’ll reconcile business line accounts and collaborate with internal teams to resolve data issues, in a remote US-based role.

Join a team of about 15 accounting professionals and contribute to accurate royalty processing, ad hoc analyses, and strong relationships with publishers while working in a hybrid-remote model per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies/accounting.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance-based role.
• Intermed. or advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access databases.

Responsibilities

• Review order details and calculate royalties due for business lines as assigned
• Manage monthly and quarterly reporting and payment process
• Reconcile monthly and quarterly reports with publishers as requested
• Collaborate with internal departments to analyze and resolve data and royalty errors
• General ledger account reconciliation and journal entry creation
• Assist with establishing and/or updating publisher payment accounts through collaboration with Vendor Management Team
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with publishers
• Understands and assists with goals of technology initiatives to improve royalty processing and internal workflows

Your Opportunity

The Royalty Accountant II will manage the full royalty cycle, beginning with the timely calculation, reporting, and payment for an assigned group of publishers, as well as reconciling business line accounts for multiple business lines.

This remote position is position is U.S. based only (excluding U.S. territories).

What You'll Do

• Review order details and calculate royalties due for business lines as assigned

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies/accounting
• 2+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance-based role
• Intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access databases

Pay Range

USD $54,600.00 - USD $78,000.00 /Yr.

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.

Our Work Policy: We value the balance of remote focus and in-person connection. For all our roles not designated as onsite, candidates living within a 30-mile radius of one of our hub office locations (Ipswich, MA; Birmingham, AL; Contoocook, NH) are required to be on-site one day designated by their team for collaboration and syncs. If you reside outside of this 30-mile range, the position is considered fully remote.
