Job summary

Prudent Engineering is seeking a ROW Survey Technician to join our Right-of-Way team in New York. You will support boundary analysis, property-line determinations, and the preparation of ROW maps for transportation projects across New York State.

You will coordinate with field crews and project managers, reconcile data from multiple sources, and ensure compliance with NYSDOT and agency standards. This role offers growth opportunities within a dynamic civil engineering group.

Qualifications

• Experience in land surveying or ROW mapping.
• Knowledge of metes-and-bounds and title documents.
• Detail-oriented with ability to reconcile information from multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Carlson, CAD or civil design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Ability to communicate clearly and coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform deed, record, and survey research to support ROW and property-line determinations.
• Review and interpret deeds, maps, title reports, and highway records.
• Assist with preparation and quality review of ROW maps and boundary exhibits.
• Compile and analyze field survey data for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with field crews, licensed surveyors, and project managers to resolve boundary questions.
• Prepare work in accordance with NYSDOT and agency standards.
