Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a ROW Protection Inspector in Carson, CA to monitor and protect pipeline right-of-way assets, perform line locating, encroachment reviews, and coordinate with contractors under strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in pipeline construction, maintenance, or operations.
• Must pass Operator Qualification (OQ).
• Knowledge of ROW and pipeline damage prevention policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with pipeline locating equipment and technology.
• Understanding of federal and state regulations, including Part 195 CFR.
• Strong safety awareness and physical capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Management and ROW personnel.
• Inspect the assigned area of the pipeline for leaks and irregularities.
• Determine when to pothole or expose pipeline; manage third-party permissions.
• Record line locator and GPS data; coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Review pre-job conferences and meetings with outside agents and contractors.
• Maintain daily logs and KMOCS reporting; ensure timely forms submission.
