Job summary

NCTD is seeking a Maintenance of Way Supervisor to lead ROW maintenance, repair, and construction activities on the San Diego and Escondido Subdivisions. The role ensures safety, regulatory compliance (FTA, FRA, CPUC), and efficient rail operations while coordinating with agencies and consultants.

The position requires planning, organizing, and supervising staff and contractors, with field and office duties, and a safety-sensitive designation under NCTD rules. 24/7 availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is desired.
• Minimum five (5) years directly relevant rail system experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of ROW maintenance principles and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise ROW maintenance operations ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Schedule work and coordinate with agencies, contractors, and other districts.
• Monitor ROW and equipment for service quality and compliance; prepare monthly reports.
• Manage corrective actions and conduct audits/inspections as needed.
• Respond to calls 24/7 and support audit processes.
