Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Experience reading and understanding instructions and safety rules.
• Previous operation of on-track equipment preferred.
• One year railroad Maintenance of Way experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, skid steers and track tools.
• Inspect and maintain trucks and equipment daily.
• Perform field and shop repairs on related equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and report daily production and safety issues.
• Conduct daily equipment safety checks and document repairs as requested by management.
• Perform flagging duties as required.
• Maintain compliance with railroad safety regulations.
