Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or min. 5 years of equivalent experience in ROW industry.
• Experience with right of way acquisition process, relocation, Uniform Relocation Act.
• Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have effective interpersonal skills
• Requires an ACTIVE current State of Arizona Real Estate License.

Responsibilities

• Acquire property rights as required by various projects; rights may include entry rights, temporary or perpetual easements, and fee title.
• Read and interpret property appraisals, title reports, plans and legal descriptions.
• Meet with property owners or their representatives to negotiate and acquire holdings; prepare purchase agreements, deeds, easements, extended occupancy agreements.
• Open and close escrow on successful acquisitions; contact relocated individuals and assist in finding new housing; maintain files and search for similar properties.
• Calculate monetary entitlements for replacement housing and inform displaced persons in writing.
• Assist displaced persons in securing replacement housing.
• Issue appropriate notices; perform inspections of replacement housing; administer relocation services; maintain contract reports.
• Perform regulatory research, relocation surveys and real estate functions as required.
