Job summary

Venterra Realty in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Roving Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartments for new residents by performing repairs, installations and inspections to meet Total Quality Make Ready standards.

You will travel within a regional radius (typically up to 25 miles), support the maintenance team, and complete tasks from plumbing to HVAC, painting, and groundskeeping, all with a focus on resident satisfaction and property appeal.

Qualifications

• EPA certification preferred.
• Prior experience in make-ready, maintenance, or related field.
• Venterra certification of intermediate level plumbing, electrical, appliance and HVAC skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per our Total Quality Make Ready (TQMR) program.
• Perform intermediate level maintenance tasks, including light fixture replacements, minor plumbing repairs, appliance checks, HVAC PM and drywall patching.
• Assist with painting, carpet cleaning, and exterior touch-ups to meet market-ready standards.
• Maintain inventory, report supply needs, and support the maintenance team with work orders and groundskeeping as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property, including grounds, parking lots, breezeways, amenities, and common areas.
• Work independently while following company standards, demonstrating attention to detail, and maintaining a commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support the team with other duties as needed to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.
• In this role, you will travel daily to one of the assigned communities within your region, typically not exceeding a 25-mile radius.
