Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Strategic Routing Lead to drive network-wide route optimization using data analytics and advanced routing software. This role analyzes historical and real-time data to develop robust master routing strategies and inform daily tactical routing operations.

You will collaborate with field operations and sales, create SOPs, standardize routing documentation, and ensure alignment with KPIs while improving fuel efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Transportation required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive routing/transportation experience.
• Experience in food distribution and customer interaction preferred.
• Proven ability to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly strategic routing optimization across regional divisions.
• Analyze plan vs. actual performance, route times, and stops.
• Collect, clean, and align routing data; run multiple scenarios.
• Collaborate with field ops and sales to finalize reroute plans.
• Create SOPs and standardize routing documentation.
• Provide an optimized template for routing software for daily orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
