Job summary

Gordon Food Service in the United States is seeking a Strategic Routing Lead to guide network-wide route optimization using data analytics and historical performance.

You will develop master routing schedules, collaborate with field operations and sales, and create SOPs aligned to KPIs, with a focus on fuel cost reductions and safety. Hybrid work with weekly commuting to distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Transportation required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive routing/transportation experience, with food distribution knowledge.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret large datasets and optimize costs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead network-wide strategic routing optimization, rotating across divisions roughly every 3 months.
• Analyze historical data and real-time metrics to develop master routing schedules.
• Collaborate with field operations and sales to refine routing scenarios and finalize plans.
• Create SOPs and standardized routing documentation aligned to KPIs.
• Provide daily routing templates for dispatch and ensure seamless daily execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
