Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Routing Specialist to support continuous improvement through daily route planning and optimization for dedicated customers.

You will use routing software and automated processes to deliver optimal plans for the Ryder operating teams nationwide, collaborating with engineering and operations to ensure timely execution. The role requires strong communication, team collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple sessions across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (or related).
• 0 to 1 year in related work experience in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry.
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation Experience (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio (Beginner).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) and basic database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Basic knowledge of Lean core tools/processes (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, problem solving).

Responsibilities

• Performs daily route planning for operating teams using automated processes and routing software.
• Monitor electronic processing of order files and routing completion to DTS teams.
• Produce optimal, executable, multi-stop routes based on parameters and customer orders.
• Manage CI projects from start to sustained results, across multiple sessions and locations.
